Grassroots is a word we’ve used constantly, since the very first episode, so this week we thought that we’d explore what it actually means.  What makes work grassroots? Why and how do people choose to operate this way? and is it as romantic as it seems?

Similarly to last week, we’re exploring these questions from both a professional and personal standpoint; with one guest having founded a community project from his own back garden, and the other having dedicated her career to helping hundreds of projects grow from the grassroots up.

Learn – How do we define grassroots? (2 mins 10 secs)

Discuss – Ian @kmt_may, Co-founder & Director of May Project Gardens  (5 mins); Beau, Head of Development & Volunteering at Merton Voluntary Services Council (35 mins).
